Hurricane Ike: Good vs Bad

A lot more people have made it back to town.

On one hand that is good, they can check out their homes.

On the other, it is bad.

  • The stop lights are not working yet.
  • The waiting in line for fuel, ice, water and food have more than triple in size.
  • All of this while we have several hundred contractors in the area trying to cut down trees, repair electrical lines and power up the water and sewer systems.

It is just frustrating to me.

All the cities and cthe ounty need is 7 - 10 days to get the area prepared to run normally.

That is 7 - 10 days where all they have to do is concentrate on the infrastructure and not work accidents, monitor grocery stores and curfew violators.
